Final Paper
A brick and mortar company that I work for specializes in designer clothing, shoes and
handbags. The owner would like to improve and streamline the current technology he has on
hand to compete with bigger brick and mortar stores in e-business to improve sales not only at
the store but have an online presence to improve sales. We are in direct competition with other
big brick and mortar big name companies.
Problem Statement1
The problem is that the physical store is lacking the ability to manage customer
information and does not have the proper tools to assist management to help make informed
decisions.
Two Technologies
The two technologies that is listed is Big data & knowledge management in which you
can collect and manage the data that is available. Wireless, mobile computing, and mobile
commerce which allows you to visit a site weather it is on a laptop, smart phone or tablet and
allows you to make purchases through the devices.
Business Requirements
Objectives
The object of this project is to outline the infrastructure on the type of technology that is
needed for the brick and mortar store and the e-business to work cohesively. We would like to
incorporate the traditional brick and mortar routine that we have and incorporate e-commerce
capability to expand our sales.

i. What we need to do is to update the technology, redesign the web site and offer home delivery
and or offer ship to store for pickup.
ii. The desired results should ease of use and the entire product line made available not only in store
