After this week's reading of chapters one, two, three, and in our textbook Think Critically by Peter Facione and Carol Ann Gittens and participating in the discussion, I would define critical thinking as a skill built over time from experience, knowledge, wisdom. Combining these aspects and using your reasoned judgment to analyze and apply to identify complications early and providing optimal patient care. Heart of the Matter Looking forward to the text, chapters 12, 13, and 14 and consider this week's reading assignment. I believe the authors see the "heart of the matter" as the most critical aspect of critical thinking and regarding the knowledge and mentality needed to adapt the essential skill of thinking, and how to apply the expertise in everyday life.
