NSG 6435 Week 5 Discussion POST. How would you evaluate and manage a pediatric patient who has BP and BMI greater than what is expected for his/her age group? Which additional conditions would you ... want to screen for and why? In evaluating and managing a pediatric with hypertension and obese I will need a weekly weight and BP chart. Also, there will be need for dietary log of the patients intake. His activity level will also be monitored. This will include their daily screen and their sleeping habits. This enables the practitioner in evaluating what lifestyle changes need to be addressed. If these habits are not impacting the weight and BP concern, then additional testing is necessary.
