Individuals with ASD often have problems with social, emotional, and communication skills (CDC, 2020) and may have unique methods of paying attention, learning, or reacting to certain things. œASD can sometimes be detected at 18 months or younger. By age 2, a diagnosis by an experienced professional can be considered very reliable (CDC, 2020).
