Also, those who attend college have improved social skills to create more social and professional circles. While college ensures people increase knowledge in their respective fields of study, it also helps them improve on their social skills. One can note a distinct difference between an individual who has attended college and one who has not, regardless of their level of knowledge. A college education is more than just education. On the other hand, its completion does not necessarily denote success. Some individuals complete their college education yet fail to secure jobs in their preferred careers. Although a college education is essential, one needs to ensure that they remain ambitious and intelligent to ensure that their time in college helps them in their future. Once students complete their high school education, they enroll for further studies in colleges and universities. Here, their education becomes more in-depth and concise as they focus on their intended area of specialization. Most students get excited at first as they do not have to study courses that are unnecessary to their careers (Ching, Yuerong, et al. 479). They will embark on their studies with enthusiasm, hoping to complete their education and land their dream jobs. On average, 20 million students enroll in higher education annually in the United States (Mitchell, et al.). However, only about 60% of these students complete their education. The rest of the students drop out to either focus on business or find their courses quite tricky. Nonetheless, all students who have attended college can attest that the level of socialization is a notch higher than high school. Also, the high number of dropouts prompts whether a college education is crucial, particularly for succeeding in the future. The primary purpose of a college education is to ensure that one is equipped with the proper knowledge for their career. According to Anderson, college students earn more averagely as compared to non-college students. Employees believe that college students have more ability compared to those who have not attended college. As such, they are assigned more tasks to ensure that they utilize their knowledge. The increased number of tasks warranties for a higher salary. Although a college education is not mandatory, it is crucial as it gives one a bigger paycheck as compared to those who have not attended college. College graduates are usually prioritized for job opportunities as compared to non-graduates. Companies believe that they have what it takes to ensure that their companies continue to succeed. Non-college graduates may not have the required knowledge to complete tasks on time. It may take time to fulfill duties, thereby derailing the company. Having a college degree not only guarantees one a job but also guarantees the employer of competency. Nonetheless, employers should not assume that people who have a college education are automatically competent. They must vet them further to ensure that they will help the company achieve its goals. As long as one earns a decent salary, one will afford a decent life. Such students can assess their taxes, remit returns and ensure that they save accordingly. They are likely to own homes and acquire other necessary items such as cars. They will learn how to balance life and ensure that they seek the required assistance if they face any challenge. They will know where to seek assistance to avoid conmen. Their level of success tends to be higher as compared to students who have not graduated from their colleges. Colleges admit students from all walks of life. Some have international students as they want to acquire the necessary knowledge to fulfill their dream careers. High schools will only accommodate students from the locality. College gives students a platform to interact with people from different cultures (Ching, Yuerong, et al. 478). They learn to appreciate and tolerate one another, thereby promoting peace within the country. Such skills ensure that college graduates can interact with people in their daily lives and places of work without any issue. They help promote multiculturalism as they interact with one another without any hidden agendas. Not only do they encourage unity in places of work, but also within their homes. A college education is not just about acquiring education but also making necessary connections. Regardless of how one passes their college education, they may not land a job if they are not well-connected in the professional world. Notably, such connections may not necessarily be due to racism or nepotism. For instance, when a student graduates top of their class, the instructor will take a keen interest in them and make follow-ups on their lives. Such students can easily get jobs from recommendations from their instructors or even colleges. Also, while in college, students need to partake in workshops, seminars, and internships to form relationships with prospective companies. College education not only equips one with book knowledge but also ensures that they develop their social skills. In college, students interact with students who have come from far and wide. They need to ensure that they understand and socialize with each other (Chan 58). College should eradicate any form of discrimination as students get to understand the culture of different people. Some colleges allow their students to form groups of their natives. They are encouraged to share their ideas with other students to ensure that they understand one another, thereby enhancing peace (Chan 61). It will be possible to bring world peace as students will no longer see color, gender, or race among each other. They will relay the information to their loved ones and neighbors, ensuring universal peace. A college education is crucial as it ensures that the students exercise their minds and make them smarter. Without a college education, the students will not have a meaningful syllabus which they will adhere to, to help them exercise their minds. Their minds will remain idle as they do not have a specific aspect to consider. Also, their research skills may not be as sharp as expected, as they might struggle to get information. College education ensures that one improves on the research skills that would help them in their careers. One must partake in numerous research projects to help improve on their skills. College education helps one attain financial security as they are likely to secure a job immediately after their education. College graduates are privileged to get higher salaries than non-graduates due to their skills. Their paychecks allow them access loans from backs, secure mortgages, and clear their student loans. Therefore, they will establish themselves early enough and ensure that they can relax on their pensions later on in their lives. In case of an emergency, one will foot their bills and nurse themselves to health. Also, one can build on an investment that will later earn revenue, allowing the graduate to retire and focus on their works. A college education is also a future investment as it ensures that students can use it to secure jobs. One can set the required goals and targets to achieve once they start working. The plans ensure that they remain stable and can rise back in case of a disaster. Achieving targets also ensures that the students remain stress-free about their future as they focus on building their lives slowly. In due time, if one seeks to use their degrees for self-employment, they will have the required funds and knowledge to do so. Therefore, one must consider how they opt to utilize their college education to ensure that they secure a job to fulfill their current needs and assist them in their long-term goals. As much as a college education is essential, it is not compulsory. Nonetheless, it ensures that people have better lives as they have better salaries and can afford quality living. The government strives to ensure that all graduates land jobs aligning with their areas of specialization. Such a move ensures that students can pay off their student loans and allow other students to get the proper education. Also, the quality of life will improve as more educated people are focused and understand their daily needs.
