life.
-Effective problem solving models have the following characteristics:
1. Ethical: Ethics or the collective character that makes us Who We Are, is the foundation for all
police problem solving efforts.
2. Systematic: The process must be organized and structured from start to finish.
3. Targeted: The problem must be clearly defined w/specific objectives and goals.
4. Collaborative: There must be continuous input from community stakeholders and other
partnerships.
5. Transparent: There must be open and frequent communication b/w police and community
stakeholders.
